The SA Heart Congress 2025, held at the Sandton Convention Centre, is one of South Africa’s most significant gatherings for cardiology professionals. The congress serves as a vital platform for knowledge exchange, clinical updates, and discussion around the future of cardiovascular care, bringing together cardiologists, specialists, researchers, and healthcare partners from across the region.

At this year’s congress, Medhold presented a stand designed to support this purpose: facilitating informed engagement, product understanding, and professional conversation within a structured and welcoming exhibition environment.

Designing for a Medical Congress Environment
Medical congresses demand more than visual impact - they require clarity, accessibility, and functionality. The stand design focused on:
Clear product visibility for cardiovascular equipment
Dedicated demonstration zones for hands-on engagement
Integrated digital screens for educational content
Seating zones to encourage longer, meaningful discussions
The layout allowed visitors to move naturally through the space, while still providing defined areas for product exploration and one-on-one conversations.
Supporting Education
In line with pharmaceutical and medical marketing ethics, the stand was designed as an informational and educational environment, supporting scientific exchange rather than promotional messaging. Product displays and visual content were positioned to encourage questions, discussion, and understanding - aligned with the professional nature of the SA Heart Congress.
A Collaborative Build
Delivered by The Source Solutions, the project encompassed stand design, build, and on-site execution, ensuring the final space met both brand expectations and congress standards.
At events like SA Heart Congress, thoughtful stand design plays an important role in shaping how information is shared and how professionals connect. This project reflects how exhibition spaces can support meaningful engagement in highly specialised medical environments.
