Designing Impact: The Source Solutions at SASES Congress 2025

From 21–24 August 2025, the South African Society of Endoscopic Surgeons (SASES) hosted its annual congress at the Lord Charles Hotel in Somerset West.

This premier event in the surgical calendar, co-hosted for the first time with the Hernia Interest Group of South Africa (HIGSA), brought together an exceptional faculty of local and international experts. Surgeons, researchers, and healthcare professionals gathered to advance the field of minimally invasive surgery through education, collaboration, and innovation.

The congress programme was designed to address a wide spectrum of objectives: advancing surgical education and training, promoting research, disseminating best practices, supporting professional networking, and addressing global health equity. Beyond the scientific sessions, the congress created an invaluable platform for building connections and shaping the future of surgical care across South Africa and the continent.

The Source Solutions was entrusted to design and deliver BD's exhibition stand at the event. Our goal was to create a professional, welcoming, and impactful space that supported BD’s engagement with delegates while staying true to their global brand identity.

Our stand design for BD featured:

• Strong visual presence: A clean, contemporary backdrop with bold colours to maximise brand visibility.

• Functional layout: Dedicated areas for product display, informal discussions, and delegate interaction.

• Lighting and flow: Thoughtful placement of lighting and furniture to create a bright, accessible environment.

  
  

The result was a stand that reflected BD’s identity and facilitated meaningful conversations with healthcare professionals throughout the congress. By combining strategic design with flawless execution, The Source Solutions ensured BD’s presence aligned seamlessly with the scientific and collaborative focus of the event.
