In November, alongside Africa Tech Fest at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, our esteemed client hosted a group of 20 key stakeholders from across Africa for a carefully curated week in Cape Town.
The brief extended beyond attendance at sponsored conference sessions. The focus was on creating an experience that allowed for meaningful engagement, thoughtful discussion, and genuine connection, all while showcasing the character and diversity of the city. The Source Solutions was appointed to plan and manage the full programme, from logistics and venues to dining and flow across the week.
Thoughtful Spaces for Focused Conversations
For three days, stakeholder meetings were hosted at Cape Grace. Positioned along the marina at the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, the setting offered refined, calm conferencing spaces paired with natural light and views of the harbour and Table Mountain beyond.
The environment supported focused conversations while allowing moments of pause between sessions - a balance that encouraged productivity without feeling removed from the city itself.
The programme concluded with a final day at Steenberg Golf Club, where meetings unfolded against rolling fairways and the quiet elegance of the Constantia Winelands. The shift in setting subtly changed the pace, grounding discussions in a landscape that felt both polished and unhurried.
Dining as Part of the Experience
Evenings were intentionally varied, each chosen to reflect a different side of Cape Town and to create space for conversation beyond the boardroom.
The week began with a bespoke wine-pairing dinner at Beyond Restaurant, where refined cuisine and vineyard views set a warm, considered tone for the days ahead.
On Tuesday, guests experienced the city from a moving table with Bus Cuisine, dining along the Atlantic Seaboard as the scenery shifted from the V&A Waterfront through Sea Point and Camps Bay, an experience that felt relaxed, intimate, and quietly cinematic.
Midweek, the group gathered at Chef’s Warehouse at Tintswalo Atlantic, where the rhythm of the ocean, dramatic coastal views, and seasonal dishes created a dining experience that felt as much like a moment as a meal.
The programme concluded back in Constantia with lunch and a wine tasting at Bistro Sixteen, offering a relaxed close to the week — a chance to reflect, connect, and enjoy the setting before departures.
Planning with Intention
Behind the scenes, the success of the week relied on careful coordination, precise scheduling, and a clear understanding of how people move through experiences over time. From venue transitions to pacing, logistics, and on-the-ground management, every detail was planned to feel seamless for the client and their guests.
For our client, the week was not only about participation in Africa Tech Fest, but about strengthening relationships in an environment that felt considered, welcoming, and distinctly local.
At The Source Solutions, we believe that impactful corporate experiences are built through intention - where business objectives, setting, and human connection align. This week in Cape Town was a clear reflection of that philosophy in practice.
